Abstract
The project is developed with the objective of promoting the adoption of climate change mitigation and adaptation measures, as well as risk reduction in natural disasters, in support of controlling coffee rust in Central America and the Dominican Republic. The development of more sustainable coffee production models in the social, economic and environmental spheres is proposed to facilitate adaptation to the current reality, as well as actions aimed at managing financing to face the problems of coffee growing in the Region. Training achievements focused on the cultivation of coffee are presented with its processes and innovation of technological models, research contributions thanks to its practical experiences, also it collaborates in investment programs for vulnerable populations to create a positive impact on competitiveness and sustainability.
