El Instituto Interamericano de Cooperação para a Agricultura (IICA) no Brasil tem estabelecido redes de cooperação com diversos países e instituições, visando a troca de experiências e conhecimentos em áreas como adaptação climática, políticas públicas para agricultura familiar, comércio agroalimentar, tecnologias agrícolas, controle de doenças no setor bananeiro e gestão de recursos hídricos. Além disso, o IICA tem promovido eventos e publicações relevantes, como o Prêmio Mulheres Rurais, destacando contribuições para redução da pobreza e insegurança alimentar. A atuação do IICA também se destaca na área ambiental, com projetos de coleta de dados para inventário florestal, certificação de informações de saneamento, avaliação de uso de águas subterrâneas e potencialidades do lodo de esgoto na agricultura. A parceria com o Serviço Florestal Brasileiro resultou em avanços significativos no inventário florestal nos biomas caatinga e cerrado, além de projetos de mitigação e adaptação às mudanças climáticas. O IICA tem fortalecido sua presença na região amazônica, colaborando com o Consórcio da Amazônia Legal e desenvolvendo iniciativas com foco na bioeconomia e sociobiodiversidade. A cooperação técnica internacional tem sido um pilar fundamental, com mais de 75 intercâmbios técnicos realizados para promover o desenvolvimento agrícola sustentável e debater temas estratégicos com diversos setores da sociedade. O IICA no Brasil tem desempenhado um papel crucial na promoção da agricultura familiar, na gestão sustentável dos recursos naturais e no fortalecimento das parcerias internacionais para o desenvolvimento rural. El Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) ha establecido redes de cooperación con diversos países e instituciones, con el objetivo de intercambiar experiencias y conocimientos en áreas como la adaptación al clima, las políticas públicas para la agricultura familiar, el comercio agroalimentario, las tecnologías agrícolas, el control de enfermedades en el sector bananero y la gestión de los recursos hídricos. Además, el IICA ha promovido eventos y publicaciones relevantes, como el Premio a la Mujer Rural, destacando las contribuciones a la reducción de la pobreza y la inseguridad alimentaria. El trabajo del IICA también se destaca en el área ambiental, con proyectos de recolección de datos para inventarios forestales, certificación de información sobre saneamiento, evaluación del uso de aguas subterráneas y del potencial de los lodos residuales en la agricultura. La alianza con el Servicio Forestal Brasileño ha permitido avances significativos en el inventario forestal en los biomas de Caatinga y Cerrado, así como proyectos de mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático. El IICA ha reforzado su presencia en la región amazónica, colaborando con el Consorcio Amazonia Legal y desarrollando iniciativas centradas en la bioeconomía y la sociobiodiversidad. La cooperación técnica internacional ha sido un pilar fundamental, con más de 75 intercambios técnicos realizados para promover el desarrollo agrícola sostenible y discutir temas estratégicos con diversos sectores de la sociedad. En resumen, el IICA en Brasil ha desempeñado un papel crucial en la promoción del desarrollo agrícola sostenible.
