Abstract
En este volumen se examinan los esfuerzos que diversos países del continente han hecho para ajustar sus estructuras agrarias a los imperativos de la época. Se describe la situación social y económica de la América Latina para establecer un marco nítido dentro del cuál encajar el examen del tema central. Se examinan los antecedentes históricos de las estructuras agrarias, partiendo de las sociedades inca, maya y azteca y de la española medioeval. Se examina la alternativa de la finca familiar como base de una estructura agraria. Por último se toca el tema de las reformas agrarias de carácter revolucionario en México, Bolivia y Cuba.
