The main activities carried out by the Institute in Suriname during 2013 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as plant health, markets, zootechnics, livestock, agritourism, food safety, good agricultural practices, good manufacturing, sustainable agriculture, use of nurseries, crop control and control of pests such as fruit flies. Finally, support was given to improving veterinary medicine, the value chains of moringa and small ruminants. Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Suriname durante el 2013, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como sanidad vegetal, mercados, zootecnia, ganadería, agroturismo, seguridad alimentaria, buenas prácticas agrícolas, buenas prácticas de manufactura, agricultura sostenible, uso de viveros, control de cultivos y en el control de plagas como la mosca de la fruta.. Finalmente, se apoyo en mejorar la veterinaria, las cadenas de valor de la moringa y pequeños rumiantes.
