Abstract
La Coalición Panamericana de Biocombustibles Líquidos resalta la importancia de los Combustibles Sostenibles de Aviación (CSA) en la descarbonización del transporte aéreo y su relación con el sector agroindustrial en las Américas. Se destaca que los CSA serán fundamentales para alcanzar emisiones netas cero en la aviación comercial para 2050, representando el 65% de las reducciones de gases de efecto invernadero. Además, se enfatiza la necesidad de establecer estándares de sostenibilidad armonizados a nivel mundial y políticas públicas coordinadas para fomentar un mercado dinámico y confiable de CSA. El documento también subraya las ventajas comparativas de los países de las Américas, que poseen biomasa sostenible y una cadena de valor desarrollada en biocombustibles, lo que les permite liderar en la producción de CSA y generar beneficios económicos y ambientales significativos
