El consejo agropecuario del sur (CAS) fue creado con el objetivo de definir prioridades para el desarrollo del sector agropecuario de la región. Es un foro de concertación regional e interlocución multilateral formado por los ministros de agricultura de Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Paraguay y Uruguay.
