The Bahamas. Significant achievements 2022
Résumé
The activities carried out by the Bahamas Delegation of 2022 are identified, focus to needs and interests of the country such as; IICA supported the Commonwealth of The Bahamas with financial and logistical resources at critical international meetings; encourage nationals and tourists to support local agriculture and producers through the “Buy Fresh, Buy Local, Buy Bahamian” campaign; continues to provide logistical and technical support to The Bahamas Network of Rural Women Producers (BAHNROP); it supported a National Validation Workshop to assess the readiness of The Bahamas to carry out climate change programming at the national level; finally IICA was selected to participate in events aimed at increasing investment into The Bahamas and establishing partnerships with local entrepreneurs and small businesses. Se identifican las actividades que realizó la Delegación de Bahamas en el 2022, enfocadas a necesidades e intereses del país tales como; El IICA apoyó a la Mancomunidad de Las Bahamas con recursos financieros y logísticos en reuniones internacionales críticas; alentar a los nacionales y turistas a
apoyar la agricultura y los productores locales a través de la campaña "Compre fresco, compre local, compre bahameño"; sigue proporcionando apoyo logístico y técnico a la Red de Mujeres Productoras Rurales de Las Bahamas (BAHNROP); apoyó un Taller Nacional de Validación para evaluar la preparación de Las Bahamas para llevar a cabo la programación del cambio climático a nivel nacional; finalmente el IICA fue seleccionado para participar en eventos destinados a aumentar la inversión en Bahamas y establecer alianzas con empresarios locales y pequeñas empresas.
