Estudios en Estados Unidos han demostrado que la población de trabajadores agrícolas está expuesta a un mayor riesgo de contraer coronavirus por razones de falta de espacio, limitadas condiciones para controles de limpieza y ausencia de garantías médicas. A pesar de que algunas organizaciones se han enfocado en brindar atención a esta población para detectar casos y brindar atención médica, el seguimiento se complica por razones migratorias
