Abstract
El documento señala que las economías latinoamericanas enfrentan un proceso de insertación en las nuevas realidades mundiales que apuntan a una profunda liberalización interna y a la apertura de sus mercados hacia las corrientes de inversión, intercambio comercial en una primera etapa, para luego continuar el proceso con los demás factores de la producción, a fin de alcanzar la globalización regional y mundial. En este orden, los países están formando bloques económicos que les permita competir con economías de mayor desarrollo. Ecuador ha efectuado reformas legales para reactivar el aparato productivo generando confianza y garantizando a los inversionistas nacionales y extranjeros su participación. Agrega que estas reformas y las expectativas que ha generado el inicio de la Zona de Libre Comercio en el marco del Grupo Andino están incentivando a los hombres de negocios para profundizar el conocimiento en las legislaciones vigentes y las oportunidades que ofrecen los mercados andino, regional y mundial. Señala que la información que se presenta en este documento, forma parte de la Guía para realizar inversiones en el Ecuador elaborado por CENDES, y está a disposición del Sector Empresarial Agroindustrial. El contenido analiza: 1) el régimen de tratamiento a la inversión extranjera; 2) las leyes que regulan las principales actividades productivas del Ecuador; 3) el Ecuador y la integración; y 4) el mecanismo de fomento de exportaciones.
