Abstract
Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Honduras, durante el período comprendido desde el año 2010 al 2017, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como políticas públicas, desarrollo rural, seguridad alimentaria, desarrollo territorial, innovación, sistemas de riego, resiliencia contra el cambio climático, tecnología, sanidad e inocuidad alimentaria. Además, se brindó asistencia técnica a pequeños productores y se mejoraron las cadenas de valor de granos básicos, frijol, maíz, papa, yuca, tomate, aguacate, marañón y cebolla.
The main activities carried out by the Institute in Honduras are identified, during the period from 2010 to 2017, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as public policies, rural development, food security, territorial development, innovation , irrigation systems, resilience against climate change, technology, health and food safety. In addition, technical assistance was provided to small producers and the value chains of basic grains, beans, corn, potatoes, cassava, tomatoes, avocados, cashews and onions were improved.
