¿Llegó el momento de la mujer rural y el pequeño productor?

Durante la pandemia por COVID-19, las zonas rurales tuvieron gran impacto en la seguridad alimentaria al ser los responsables de la generación de alimentos, evidenciando a su vez, el valor que tienen en la reactivación de la economía. Lo anterior, resalta la necesidad de valorar la reformulación de política públicas que promuevan el desarrollo y las oportunidades de los pequeños productores de zonas rurales, que en gran medida son mujeres que además de su trabajo en el campo han fungido como cuidadoras y educadoras en el hogar, con una remuneración escasa. De igual forma, durante la pandemia, los agricultores colombianos han mostrado iniciativas propias, sin apoyo gubernamental, para descentralizar centros de acopio, mejorar la ubicación de los alimentos en las zonas urbanas y establecer canales de oferta y demanda; proyectos que deberían ser apoyados por las instituciones para su sostenibilidad.
