The effective organization of the generation and transfer of agricultural technology in a small country is a great challenge. In most cases, resources are not sufficient to adequately finance even small-scale activities; the demands of the other side are not entirely determined by the size of the country. This article analyzes some of the available alternatives, paying special attention to the potential of network interconnection as an organizational solution that meets the technological needs of small countries. In doing so, the different factors that affect the effectiveness of the different types of networks are discussed and some of the experiences available in Latin America and the Caribbean are analyzed.es
