Abstract
La publicación comenta acerca de los obstáculos para incorporar adecuadamente a los jóvenes a programas sostenibles y competitivos de desarrollo rural tienen que ver al menos con tres factores: la falta de oportunidades laborales en el campo, hace que los jóvenes rurales se vean forzados a abandonar sus lugares de origen en busca de nuevas fuentes de trabajo, tanto para aquellos que no tuvieron la oportunidad de terminar su educación formal, como los que no pueden conseguir tierra y trabajo en sus comunidades, lo cual determina que cada año el mundo rural se desprovea de una parte importante, de su población total, los jóvenes enfrentan limitaciones para participar organizadamente en los procesos de desarrollo, una de ellas es justamente los frecuentes movimientos migratorios que reducen sus posibilidades de participar en organizaciones laborales, comunales y reinvindicativas permanentes, de otra parte las políticas de desarrollo rural no han tomado en cuenta al sector de los jóvenes (mujeres y hombres) como un sector objetivo específico, y las políticas que eventualmente se han diseñado en su favor, no se ha consultado con los jóvenes.
