This document explains Jamaica has the capacity to improve in its provision of agricultural information services and products, however integration of the information units in the agricultural sector based on improved networking among these who manage these centre is essential in creating the way forward. Networking provides many opportunities for the use of new technologies, training of personnel, creation and adoption of new information services to suit the growing information needs of clients and elimination of duplication of effort and better use of scarce physical and financial resources. IICA's contribution to this initiative is being made under the framework of the Agricultural Information and Documentation System for Latin America and the Caribbean (SIDALC) and with cooperation from the Kellog Foundation to foster a hemispheric network of agricultural information to meet the information needs of Members States of the Institutes.es
