The Bahamas. Significant achievements 2019
Abstract
The main activities carried out by the Institute in the Bahamas during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues of health and food safety, biosafety, project management and sustainable forest management. Likewise, technical assistance was provided in sustainable living, husk crops (Croton eleuteria) and beekeeping development. Finally, work was done on resilience to risks, on rehabilitation against disasters; without neglecting the strengthening in the management of institutional policies, plans and strategies. Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Bahamas durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de sanidad e inocuidad alimenticia, bioseguridad, en gestión de proyectos y en gestión forestal sostenible. Así mismo, se brindo asistencia técnica en vida sostenible, cultivos de la Cascarilla (Croton eleuteria) y en el desarrollo apícola. Finalmente, se trabajo en la resiliencia ante riesgos, en la rehabilitación ante desastres; sin dejar de lado el fortalecimiento en la gestión de políticas, planes y estrategias institucionales.
